I know that bettas can change color, but how common is it for a white cellophane male (delta tail) who was very transparent, to the point of seeing his internal organs, to change into a blue marble?

It started as a dark blue, almost black, saddle mark on his dorsal area, ( which admittedly, startled me and made me worry a bit til I realized what was going on ) which progressively got larger and larger, joining with other blueish black marks that appeared on his sides.

Here is him before, the day I brought him home from Petco, and him now, which I took just a few minutes ago.

That's just like Rodgers. He was pale and see through and now his body is all black.

Not that uncommon, most of them marble into something as they age.

There was someone, their dark blue betta turned golden yellow. o.o I forget who though.

taking a break from fish-keeping.
3 lovely male betta still keep me company.

Pitluvs. He went from plain old blue to the most beautiful iridescent gold you could imagine.

He kind of looks like he got splashed with some blue paint.

He looks like cloud and sky now. Glad I named him Zephyr.

I had never heard of them changing, but he's very pretty!

That reminds me of Beany, he didn't change drastically, but his fins have grown and all of him has gotten extremely brighter. He wasn't in really bad conditions or anything. I'll show a comparison in a minute.

oh im so sorry.. yes any stains like that just dump straight white vin on it, you dont really even have to let it sit, it kills bacteria and ordors fast. Good to clean everything with even fish stuff, but must rinse very well with fish stuff.

Its much safer for the environment too. Good luck. poor dog.

I think it's neat, Beany's ventral fins are bright red.
He goes from black to purple to blue, and even has red. (: I wish you could see them in the picture.
