I think he's perked up a bit, or at least doesn't look quite so miserable. I'll know more at feeding time

Princess's stress lines are fading finally, and Tiger's able to keep his food down better.

My gerbils were being so adorable, I gave them a treat ball I made, cardboard with treats inside. Aaand it's gone. xD Monsters! They're the most destructive little animal I've ever seen. It's really cute. I keep giving my rats all types of chew toys but they ignore them, so the gerbils end up with them in the end.

Edit:

You will always be my best friend, .

lol at the gerbils. I remember my sister mentioning about her gerbils eating everything.

I come home and look in the tank, Milton is turning black so he's definitely dead. Will remove tomorrow (I know, I know. Tonight I'm really too tired and I have the comings on of a migraine) and one java fern is after sprouting in the back I only saw it tonight and it's lush and vibrant and sexy. The other fern (which is a different type and slower growing) is 'dotting'.. In that on it's dead matted hair looking roots there are tiny bright green dots of new ferns going to come in. SOOOOPER stoked for that. The magic of 6500k lights!!

Tea and homework and bed and dead.

Nice on the ferns, gratz. No you can add but not take gravel out, lol. the good bacteria grow on everything, and it grows and dies depending on the amount of nitrates in there. No nitrates and it will all die.

I too have 5 tiny tiny spikes of xmas moss sticking out of that mesh! all that work for 5 tiny almost invisible moss, lol.

So no one knows if i can feed that to fry?

ok, ill check back later im off to bed. Way too much drama for me.

Laki - most of the bacteria will be in the filter but some will be on the gravel.
