A while ago. I haven't posted photos. The ick came back so I'm working on that and don't want the world to see them. But they love their home made food.

taking a break from fish-keeping.

Haha Bekah!!
Cleaned my tank.. Scrubbed the algae casings off my duckweed, changed my assassins into a longer cup until the ponds (which are ALL in the tank. I think I killed all but 5) settle in. Put Milly back over with Ludendorff. Turned the plant light back on and there's still kjfgbreyvkajhe algae on the glass and java fern.

Algae, why must you torment us soooooooo?

Elizabeth, *hugs* I'm sorry you have to go through all this right now, especially in the first semester of your college life. You're doing an awesome job dealing with it all. If you ever need to talk, we're all here for ya. :)

Ah, I love their names, Olympia. So cute! I wanted a panda moor that I saw at the LFS yesterday but I remembered what you said about not sacrificing the goldies to Sparky . . .

Awww, I want more. :) But I feel like I'd have to buy them NOW, to treat everyone at once instead of having to QT again. The other three are, a black and orange oranda, a red ryukin and a red and white ryukin. I want a black moor, would be good contrast. I also want a white one. I also want a chocolate coloured pom pom one I saw.
I have problems.
The cichilds are moving out eventually (getting too mean) and will probably get dojos with them. And WCMM (yes I could accept one being eaten every now and then, haha).

I thought buffaloheads were among the more docile cichlids, too. They picking on each other or the goldies?

They chase the goldies sometimes, yea. They are still cichilds I guess. I've seen a video of them living with cories though. I'm not sure, I'm sorta attached and if the goldies tails grow back fine we'll see where it goes. :/ It's just a few tiny bites on the tails, the goldfish usually get away without a problem.

The goldies will probably learn not to hover so close to the bottom. The buffaloheads can't swim higher without some effort, having atrophied swimbladders and all. I think you should give it a try. :)
