Goldfish love to eat plants. Another popular food is Anarchis.

I'm willing to spend max $20 on my blubs. Another thing....hubby is planning to make the light strip. :P
I tink I maybe able to get him to bend and get a light strip already made instead.

I figured, as long as they're fed they shouldn't find the plants interesting to eat.

Anachris is lowlight so it would do fine with the standard light strips that come with a 75.

A dojo loach or two would be good for the bottom. They don't scavenge quite like most bottom-feeders do but they would pick up some leftovers.

Fishy, yes, they do burrow. I've found mine with just his head sticking out of the sand. Scared the daylights out of me.

Awh darn. Looks like Spike will get the duckweed then. Adorable piggy goldies :P

I'd like for Mr. Clean to go in my 75 gal. However, he is a common pleco and as of right now he is in my best friend's 150 gal.

Common Plecos are commonly added to Oscar Tanks because they get along with eachother.

See, I'd like to get these plants/root them in the substrate.
Anacharis
Amazon Sword
Anubius
Java Fern
Moneywort
Cabomba
Hornwort
Wisteria
Maybe some grasses.

I might not get all of what is listed. But most. Would they do fine with a straight sand substrate or would they do better with the sand/soil/sand substrate OFL suggests in her NPT sticky thread? I'd like to get this tank to the point where I don't have to get root tabs and maybe only have to use the liquid fert I have right now.
