What other fishys are interactive and not spooky?

My BFF is thinking about starting a 40 gal. She likes the Gouramis but they are so spooked in her mom's tank.

Kinetic, I'm going to try your potato salad recipe. I never thought of putting the potatoes in the microwave.

Who doesn't like them? :p
Even though goldfish like groups, they're interactive with us because they've been domesticated for so darn long. That's why I can go as far as holding some of mine.

ooh ooh ooh ooh I love gourami's too!! What's basic tank size required for a pair or trio? This might influence what size tank I get *wink*

It truly is a snow day out there. We went up to the gas station for brownies and macaroni for our late night casserole >> Based loosely on this>>http://www.food.com/recipe/baked-ziti-358437
(mine is made with vegetarian ground "meat", Matt's has beef) Can't wait!

Honey gouramis can do a 10 gallon, but blues, pearls, moonlights, hit 5-6" and need good sized tanks.

I know!!!
I'm totally gonna be turning mine into dog-fish xD
BTW, so I get their diet right. I was thinking blanched lettuce once or twice a week, frozen brine shrimp once or twice a week....the rest flakes or crisps.

Someone(dont remember who) said they could eat squash? How would that be prepared?
