Could that be dying leaves on the hornwort? Mine does that- and it almost completely melted off when I bought it and introduced it to my tank. I hate them. My hornwort is struggling just the same bc everytime it tries to grow it gets wrapped in algae.

Finally, someone from the oil compnay is coming to look at the tank thing.

dying leaves?
I'm thinking it's some sort of algae. In that picture, I just shook it off and it's floating around. All those specks are what I just shook off the plant.

Here's a picture from yesterday...you can see it covering the hornwort

I don't tink mine's slimy...then again, I never really bothered to inspect it. Just found it comes off when I shake around my hornwort.

yaymyfurnaceisfixed!!!! *our apt is not even using the oil tank for goodness sakes. But the tech was so nice and kind and he showed me the inside of the furnace, where the fire is and how it works. He was nice. I wish he was my dad.
