LOL!!! I'm sorry, I can't help but laugh. It reminds me of this one time when my dog ate a cricket's legs off. Crickets have this protective...uhhh...thing on them that when eaten by another animal can make them sick. My dog had diarrhea for a week!!! I didn't know it, of course, so when he tried to get me up to let him out I just ignored him (it was 3:00 something in the morning). Suddenly I woke up to the lovely sound of hacking (him vomiting) and then the smell of diarrhea. Poor baby.

What do I do with this kuhli? He won't bond with the solids I got! Stinky OMP, grumpy old man.

If it were me I would keep both species.
Yea now that I have both kinds, they really do not care for each other.
If I were in the states I would ship you some but I'm not. D:
All I know is start looking again, these fish are seasonal, as they are wild caught, and myself as well as a few others on TFK all found them recently, so chances are they are in season.

Yes, they can change color if the water changes. Usually they pale out though, but in excellent water quality they will look extra vibrant.

How dramatic is the color change? Often young fish we buy at the store are still developing their color. You may get pure white fish, or half blue half white fish that may turn out all solid or marble by the end of a year.

See how this fish has much more blue in it's tail in the above photo were the fish is older. The body color didn't change, it is just the lighting that makes it look more blue/green.
