But this media is relatively new. It was put in last month to replace the original one that was tearing apart. It was put in to seed for a month before tossing the old sponge.

Hey LBF. I'm leaning heavily towards b. coccina. she seems tp be a juvie either way, she's so very very small. i tried to get a couple of better pictures and a vieo.

Hmm from what I can see of the body shape and finnage in the picture, I would lean towards him/her being a coccina. However, I am not 100%. Does Min have a tail? Looks like he/she got savaged by the other fish. Poor thing.

Also, is Min like a burgundy colour, or still too stressed to tell?

Yeah there were some pea puffers in the tank that the female splendens and b. coccina were in. along with other inappropriate fish. Poor thing got beat up.
