If we are made of cells, then a scientist who studies cells is actually a group of cells studying themcells!

Still looks like water sprite to me. Depending on your light and how it is grown (floating/rooted/emersed/submersed) it can look vastly different.

Its floating right now. I really don't know how else to photograph it other than from above, which is hard since its so big it takes up the entire top of the water.

Yeah water sprite grows in that kind of shape/form if left floating. I've been meaning to buy some for a while now because I like how it looks when it spreads out over the surface and the roots trail down.

I always feel like shouting 'NOOOO!' when I am reading a journal and someone has all this nice, lush Amazon frogbit with big roots and they throw it out.

Lol LBF. Me too. You know how I feel about culling fish, but when people kill plants... They could have just sent them to me lol.

I feel like weeping when I see it happen. I lost all my beautiful Amazon frogbit and I have been wanting to replace it for use in grow-outs and tanks.

I also am extremely jealous of people in America who have access to all these nice lush moss species. Some guy on a planted tank forum had so many tanks just chock full of moss that I wanted to steal. My wilds love moss, especially when they are young.

I've got two species of moss (weeping and java). I swear I would send you some if i could lol. Australia is a place i have always wanted to visit but not live in, I mean, being a fish keeper there is even harder then being in Canada!

Linda Olson just told me that its water sprite, too. I have a ton of water sprite, then. xD I think its cool how it branches, too! I like how the leaves look wayyy different above water than under it, lol.

I'll also have more java moss soon as well, since it grows so quickly. I just transferred a bunch of it over to a few other tanks. Like, four handfuls worth. I'll probably end up accidentally giving someone duckweed, though, since its pretty much populated my tanks.

I'm weird and think duckweed is cute, though. Especially from the side, right under the petals. Its just so tiny! <3

Okay if this double-posts whatever.

I kind of regret I sold all my java moss. I had so much of the stuff. From all my tanks, it probably would have been a basketball's worth if I combined it all together haha.

I now have to go buy some new java moss because my juveniles have started punching on in their grow-outs.

Come back giant mass of java moss...I miss you!
