I really enjoy watching Milly the nerite. She has laid a few eggs but in the last few months she has grown exponentially and now she's just enormous. And she glides across glass in minutes, she only had small eyes when I got her now they're VERY long. Suddenly she's the world's healthiest nerite! haha Compared to Hodor who is still getting over whatever monstrosity he's experienced while being collected and shipped across the word. His shell tells me he's only young yet. I think the local shop had him shipped internationally which means he was wild caught.

We have been cleaning up a flooded apartment that had many betta aquariums near DT Calgary. My friend had about 30 adult betta and a 3 week old spawn. It was just awful. Terrible sight you could not believe and the smell was...no words can describe.

Sorry about your friend, logistics! I hope he didn't lose as much as it sounded like. Also, Breme seems to be gasping. Is it because he's acclimating or other reasons? I seem to have forgotten all I've learned in the weeks I haven't been here.

Over hundreds of bettas die in their small, dirty cups each day. Only you can help them live. Research and then save them, today!

Omg the jam is so sweet.@__@ We are making cooked and frozen jam, 2 liters each. I think.
And we had strawberries and sugar and sour cream for dessert. Strawberry madness! We are through like 5 liters already.

It was a total loss for my friends. The vehicle, all furniture, old photos, their cat which I found, all the fish, everything. They had 20 minutes to leave and just packed a suitcase. It was heart breaking and so sad they are really good people.
