Mocha eats flies. A few days ago she tried to eat a wasp and got stung on the ear. I got stung by one the same day. They were in a bad mood that day.

I don't think I've ever been stung by a wasp. Sat on a bee when I was still in diapers though :) Hope you and Mocha are okay!

Well, I thought it had a tail but maybe my imagination? I know scorpions are native to central Texas. Eek!

I didn't know why she was yelping every time I touched her ear, and I noticed it was all swollen. But the next day she was fine! And I was fine within a few hours. xD

Sooo I've been watching waaaay too many documentaries lately...
-By 2050, one out of three people in North America will have diabetes (double-triple current numbers)
-By 2050, all coral reefs could be extinct due to ocean acidification
-By 2050, all our major ocean food fish (tunas, cod.. most fish) will by gone
-By 2060, the last rainforest will be cut down
-By 2050, 2/3 of people won't have access to fresh drinking water
-head implodes- Must stop reading and watching.

With scorpions, a general rule is that the bigger the claws, the less venomous the stinger. The ones with big claws rely more on their strength to catch food, the ones with small claws rely more on their venom to catch food.

taking a break from fish-keeping.
3 lovely male betta still keep me company.

sent request. It's coming from Rhagequit someodd number.

They may take them. Especially if you tell them you cannot keep them in a proper environment.

I love that moment when I put a pair of fish up for sale and they start considering spawning. Hopefully it just remains a consideration as they are going to a new home Sunday haha.
