We were just coming back from the dog chiro (it's 9:30pm here) and as we get to this quite busy roundabout near home, some idiot on a skateboard with dark clothes and no helmet goes around right in front of the oncoming traffic.

I saw him and told my mum and she let him go past but the car next to us only just put their brakes on in time.

I would have like to have knocked him right off the skateboard. I always wonder what sort of thought processes those kind of people have.

Morning!!! I have a super important question....how do you feel about fin cutting/trimming? My fish from Thailand got in today, but he's nipped his caudal pretty bad....I'd like for it to grow out evenly. I remember having trouble getting previous fish to have their fins grow out without them being even already (like if they only bit down in one spot like this male has). My transhipper has advised me to cut the fin with a sharp pair of scissors. I've heard about this for fish in the ring, who have bitten their fins and need to be grown back before show. However.....is it still something I should do? He only bit because of the shipping process.

Well I know that fish can't feel pain like we do...not even close. That's why I'm asking.

I'd be scared to use clove oil. Knowing me, I'd OD it and kill the fish. Seeing as they don't have the nerve endings to feel pain like we do (not the same ones), do you think it'd be okay for me to just snip and go?

Lol, yea. Point taken. Goodness I'm nervous about this now! I have some great haircutting scissors...super small and super duper sharp...hope that would work.
