I don't think loaches should ever be floating on their backs...

That's what I thought. I Googled and people are talking about how their loaches have weird behaviours as well. I don't know what to do.........I don't want to stress him out further.

I hope he's not dead.

I'm pretty sure dojo loaches need like 20 gallons because they need a schools of 6+ just like any other schooling fish. How new is the tank

Oh, I thought golden dojo loaches can live by themselves. The tank is close to a year old. Are they nocturnal?

I also thought that if he was dead, his body would be floating around or stuck in the filter as there is a semi-strong current, or at least enough to pull him out of the pot.

Aww, poor thing! Maybe it's the stress from being in a new tank without other loaches.

Yeah, I feel bad now.

I only had enough for one.... they were charging $9 per 2" dojo. I should have bought the other one.

Can they be accompinied (sorry for spelling) by other species of freshwater loaches?

EDIT: the person who was catching him in the tank was using two nets and it took her 2 minute to get him, including pinning him up against the glass.

This might be shock due to the nature he was being caught. How did you acclimate him?

Floating for 30 minutes in the bag he came in. He was acting this way in the bag on the way home BTW.
