Nah, its no big deal. :P
I get them all the time. I used to be a bit squemish, not anymore. XD I get bloodwork at least once a month, IVs up to twice a month. (I used to get them once a week for almost a year, when my lupus was really bad). I've even had a needle shoved into my hip (twice) and one up my spine (twice).

I'd hold someones hand if anyone goes with you, even a nurse is better than nothing :P. Look away from the spot you're getting. DON'T close your eyes, it makes any dizziness you may feel (from being so freaked out - I get dizzy when I'm nervous) TEN TIMES WORSE. Take slow, deep breathes. Concentrate on a special word. Like Betta. Breathe in and think "Betta" breath out and think "betta". It helps a lot to focus on something else.

Good luck! Maybe buy yourself a little reward after ;) -coughbettacough-

Life with Lupus is still a life worth living.

I have to get one once a month, I just look away or close my eyes and have something to squeeze. Like when I get blood taken, eyes closed, squeezing the arm of the chair, needle is in and blood flowing I can relax. Sorry if I gave anyone that eww reaction. I can't watch needles on tv either. Although nothing has compared to the pain of having arterial blood (For a blood gas) taken.

Yep, same here. The epidural from my first pregnancy, of course that was a relief to get! The second pregnancy and that was a spinal block. OUCH, I could feel it tickling inside of my spine and it makes me cringe every time I think about it.

I think I can make it! I knew someone who ran out of the hospital when they needed one shot.
My brother can watch them put the needle in O.O It scares me.

Hello, it's Frogipoi. If you need any help, fonts, or pixel bettas, please PM me. Thank you and good day.
