Talking Ya'll need to help me eat!

Alright, so I know many of you saw my posts in the "adults" thread about my scary experience with a very incompetent surgeon who deserves a frying pan to the face and to loose his license!

Now that the ordeal is basically over (praying I do not develop infection) the swelling was so bad my cheek is now deformed on the inside and lays completely over my back molars, and I cannot chew anything (or close my mouth for that matter...) until it has receeded and healed, which could be awhile...

SO, I am hollering to you all to see if you have any great recipes or food ideas to help me enjoy my food and get some sort of nurtition while I am waiting. Appleasauce, pudding, Jello, etc are not fun, especially having a week of strictly eating them. Most soft things are too large to even get into my mouth let alone swallow, and a lot of "real" food shredded up has no flavor unless chewed and hurt the roof of my mouth and throught because they are still "whole".

Anything you've got that sounds some what appetizing I will try, and then let you know the results! Thank you everyone! <3

What about vegetable soup with the veggies cooked really soft? I have a friend who has stomach issues and sometimes has to eat really soft foods. I might ask her for some ideas for you.

Wonderful!

I am hoping to try some, there's a family recipe with the best veggie soup on the planet, so I will see if someone can cook it for me nice and soft, that was a great idea!!

Can't wait to read your replies! :)

Also, if you have a food grinder you can grind up meat and vegetables.

Rice is relatively easy to eat, maybe try flavoured rice for extra...flavor LOL. I don't know if you'd be able to eat that though... maybe try small scoops?
If rice is ok, you could try adding some chicken broth, or beef broth for a more meaty taste, and I think that would add protein to it as well...
Runny eggs may be easy to eat as well.
Mashed potatoes that are mashed very well should be good, you don't really need to chew it either, just swallow.
I will keep thinking of more ideas, and post them tomorrow!

I hope you start feeling better soon!

Let's see...
Almond butter (on it's own or mixed with cocoa powder) is delicious and filled with protein. Also, creamy soups (such as carrot soup) would be good and are really tasty! As for the rest, long live juice, milkshakes, and smoothies!
I hope you feel better soon!

Mashed potatoes! Add some gravy for more flavor.
