music for fish?

this may sound stupid but i was wondering if anyone here leaves a radio on for their fish to listen to? if so, what kind? can you tell if it helps or even has any effect on them?

the reason i ask is because i often have a radio going when im gone for my cats and for security purposes...makes it sound like someone is home. wondered if anyone else does this.

btw...dont tell me you leave a dethklok album on either

i love fish...but i don't like to eat them

My betta in the 2.5g on my desk is near my speaker and they don't seem to care about the music, I make sure the speaker isn't facing them and I don't play it super loud because sound is louder in water.

My fish actually preferred me singing. He would be so active when I hummed and sang softly! I personally think that leaving something on like a TV or one of those moving nightlights work better for fish.

I try not to play music when I'm around my fish too much, since I usually play it loudly and the vibrations from the bass, I think, may be a bit much for them. When I do play music, though, they react differently than they usually do when there isn't any playing. They don't seem agitated in any way- just interested. I like to think they like rock and post-punk. XP
