Hi everyone! I'm new to the forum, bettas, and crocheting! I'm in the middle of making a baby blanket. I don't know if it will be done in time for the baby shower I'm going to so if not it's going to be a blanket for my dog lol. I only looked at a couple of pages of this thread, but I'm going back now.

There are tons here! :D http://freeamigurumipatterns.blogspot.com/
I made the wolf one on here for my friend last week...it came out looking like a koala-bear-thing. xD
There are a lot on here that are simple, And they mostly just have the round patterns instead of those horrid charts. I can never read those. >_<;

-------

Just finished a T-shirt rug! I looked through my drawers last week and found so many clothes that were back from 8-5 years ago that don't fit me/I don't wear. So rag it was! I spent the whole night crocheting and watching Dr. Who. xDD
Also now in the process of knitting my first sweater (a baby one, mind you) and making a knitted stuffed Dalmatian for my sister. I have to make a Bulldog for the other one. :P

Just because I don't type with candy and rainbows doesn't mean I'm being mean.
My opinions are based on research and experience. Ask for help!

Ok, more questions about blocking!
I blocked a section of my scarf last night and it came out GREAT! I was wondering though, how long blocking lasts? I just soaked it in cool water and shaped it ... will it go back to the way it was after a while? Is there something else I could soak it in to make the block last longer (starch-water, glue-water, sugar-water, etc)?

You will have to block it e very time you wash it. Other than that it should hold shape fine.

Is it acrylic? Blocking won't really matter for that yarn.

Don't use anything other then water though, it could ruin it.

It's cotton, so it should hol the shape well, I guess.

It should, cotton can stretch out too. So, if it does start to get a little longer/wider as time goes on then you'll know why.
