So...you knit from the front instead of the back? lol. That sounds odd indeed. xD
Yeah, I use the butterfly cast-on method. I tried doing the simple loop, but I always ended up with huge gaps between my stitches. o__O

Just because I don't type with candy and rainbows doesn't mean I'm being mean.
My opinions are based on research and experience. Ask for help!

This "magic loop" business is definitely not as easy as it sounds during the early stages... BLARGH! I'm sure it'll get easier once the first few rows are done, but man it's frustrating right now, haha.

Score on the discount!
All yarn at craft stores are cheap. (Think, hand dyed/spun….so on).
Longtail cast on is my go to!

Yeah i read your posts about spending $20+ a hank of yarn, Angelic. I'd love to be able to make something from yarn like that some time. for now...it's Caron, lol

Magic Loop? For crochet?
It def. is difficult to get the first couple of times, but I LOVE it. <3
Just bought some blank earrings and white and red crochet thread. Going to make some adorable earrings this weekend!~

Nah, for knitting. The crochet one feels a whole lot less complicated to me! I agree though, the first couple of times was a pain, but after that it's smooth sailing. XD

Yup, using longer circular needles instead of double-pointed ones for small tubes. It's awful trying to do it with needles that don't have very flexible cord joining them, it stretches the whole lot out and it looks a bit dodgy until you get a fair way into the project, and just makes life hard with it, heh. Can't wait till the super-flexible ones get shipped, it'll be so much easier making armwarmers! XD
