Ugh, that WIP shawl I posted, well I have extra stitches that shouldn't be there and I'm half way through it. I have to do decreases on the next row and I'm crossing my fingers I won't mess the whole thing up. Blah.

Good luck, Angelic. Frogging that thing would not be fun right now.

If I had to frog it, I don't think I'd have the heart to start a new one. :/

I can well understand that. I've lost a few projects that way myself. Maybe stop now and make it a baby shawl?

I couldn't do that. It's $28 a hank wool yarn and the work that went into it would be worth more then what I'd let a child drag around. Also, it's an XMas gift to my mom.

I did the decreases and so far so good. I'm keeping my fingers crossed here!

Yay! I'll continue to hope the shawl turns out as beautiful as it sounds. :)

OK, so I got my supplies yesterday and long story short, I KEEP messing up on the tension, I ALWAYS mess up on the second row with the tension. No matter if I do english or contenial, UNLESS someone has some advice on how to keep tension even. I'm quitting knitting.
It's no longer fun "trying" to knit.:(
I'm at my wits end now :(
I know HOW to knit but the tension messes my up EVERY time.

My friend tried knitting so many times, gave up and never did it again. Finally, she tried again (with our knitting group as a support system backing her up) and it clicked! She got it!

I'm going to reference this website over and over...just saying.
scroll down and there is Mastering Tension section
