Hey all - I just wanted to add for the OP, that you may want to try tea tree oil (100% pure) along with the salt mix treatment. It can be purchased in lots of places, most commonly from the drug store.
I have used it many many many times on... well... piercings that heal slowly. It's great for promoting the healing process.
PLUS, it's a natural antiseptic and helps with inflammation.

After your salt mix treatment, dab a tiny bit of the tea tre oil on the outside with a clean q-tip.
A little bit goes a long way.
I DO NOT recommend moving the jewelry while healing.
Body piercings heal from the inside, out.
Moving and twisting the jewelry will only hinder healing, which can cause infection.

BTW - I am a professional body piercer... and if you want more info or help, PM me and I'll gladly assist!

:) my pericer told me to crush up an ibeprofin and make a paste out of it, apply it at night every night and wash it in the morning for 2 weeks.

I havent fiddled with it, it got caught on my pillow once, and i turned it once becuse the end was hanging out of my nose and driveing me insane.
And thank you Findly, i will add tea tree oil to the H2ocean and paste.

Betta-less at the moment :(

Yea, it may burn some.
Some people do have a sensitivity to it.

I use it straight on myself, it works more effectively, IMO.

But, with all things, it's a personal preference and if it bothers you, dilute dilute dilute!
