Africal Dwarf Aquatic Frogs - tank size?

Does anyone have any thoughts on tank size for ADFs? I've found conflicting sources on the internet that quote anywhere from 1 gallon to 5 gallons per frog.

I have a 3 gallon Eclipse tank that I was thinking of putting 2 ADFs in and that's it. Too small? I don't want to keep less than 2 at a time because they like company. So if the consensus is that it's too small, I'll think of something else to put in that tank. Like a betta *shifty eyes*

EDIT: I mean AfricaN Dwarf Aquatic Frogs. I fail spelling :p

I'm not really sure, I know they need more than 1 gallon for sure, but besides that I dont know. They can get 1-1.5 inches so having two of them, if your just going by the 1 gal per 1 inch of fish, a 3 gallon with be the smallest they should live in.

But i really hope someone with more knowledge of them comes around as I want to know the answer to this question as well.

peace. love. & bettas.

Thank you for replying! I did a little bit more research and found an excellent article on it which explains the why of the 5 gallon rule.

http://www.aquariacentral.com/forums...rticle-Revised

Seems that it's recommended because it's easier to maintain water quality with a 5 gallon. However, if you're good with the water changes and so on, then there isn't any reason why you couldn't keep a couple of ADFs in a 3 gallon.

At least that's my understanding. Anyone else have any other ideas?

I know someone that had 3 in a container thgat probably didn't hold any more than a half gallon. It was not heated or filtered. I think all but one died. Hmm, I wonder why. *sarcasm here*
