I don't know about 60 years, maybe some species, but the average is different per species. Some live 6-12, some 15-20, some 18-20+, and that's the ages I generally see listed. Some might be very long lived though!
Holy pancakes, he's adorable @-@ how big of a tank do they need? XD
We actually keep him in a sterilite tub with a few holes poked out of the lid. Holds perfect humidity and heat and makes him feel secure. Size sort of depends on the size of the frog. Females need bigger enclosures, males don't get as big. It was just easier for us to up his tank size everytime he grew, though we started him in a ten gallon tank when he was tiny. We just had trouble keeping humidity up in the tank. Now he's in a tub with the dimensions of a ten gallon. Soon he might need an upgrade to a larger size. They don't move much, but it's good to give them space to move around if they want to! Plus it gives them a chance to thermoregulate if you have heat on one end of the enclosure and a cooler end.
They are really cute and cool, but most of the time sit under the dirt! Guac comes out to say hello when he's hungry and buries himself again to digest. But feeding him is a blast.
Aaaah, I love your boa!! So gorgeous! They all are, of course, but MAN, that is a beautiful boa!
Thanks!! I LOOVE her, we just had to pick her up the moment we saw her! She's definitely the most fun to handle and is a very pretty lady! I love her weird patterns--she was actually from a junglexjungle pairing, so she has a chance of being a very low expressed jungle. She's coloring up to that classic jungle 'gold' color, and has weird blocky saddles--maybe not as apparently morphed as a regular jungle, but it sure looks cool on her!
