Even if you ARE out there supervising him, like a small child, things can happen in the blink of an eye.

I know I'm always terrified when he's drinking out of the pool. I keep my arms across his chest to make sure he doesn't lean too far in.

I would've peed my pants! Poor guy!

I hate that time. It's way too difficult. Then you have to make euthanasia decisions and such... UGH. It's heart breaking!

Do you guys think a regular, human life vest would work, or should I try and find a dog-specific one?

I don't know if I could find it in town at all, but I can give Petsmart a shot when I go get his food for the month.

I think maybe a reg. human vest would be fine. You might want to consider size though when getting the vest. Will he need a smaller vest, say child sized, or would he need a normal sized vest.

I'm so glad you found him before it was too late. My oldest dog can't see very well, and always barks at me when I come home from work. As soon as she realizes who I am, she always looks embarrassed.

He'll need a regular sized one or even a large one. He's got a rounder body, and he's overweight because he has difficulty walking.
