What if you got cories with one big center piece fish? That would be awesome.
Like a really pretty gourami or something?

We had a chance at Axolotls, friend of mine breeds them. After looking into their care, I realized our home is too warm for them (as well as Goldies) so we skipped it.

Sororities are cool, but so much work and if one passes you start all over again with introducing another (if done properly). I have 6 girls in a 15g, praying it continues to stay peaceful haha

I like the reptile option. Most Mom's are not for reptiles, but I am sure one would warm her heart. I told a friend of mine that if she let her daughter get a Beardie, she would be baby talking it in no time. She finally admitted that the Beardie is the most amazing pet she's had in her home. My experience is limited to Beardies though, not interested in other reptiles. Annnnd, I'd never with a clear mind ever suggest a snake to anyone. You know why :)

Really, They can't? Then what can be kept with fancies/loaches in this tank? I love both of them, but I think they should have at least some tankmates. Actually, I was going to do a Ryukin. What ae examples of the fancies without dosal fins? Pitluvs, ae they eally that much work? I was unde the impression that the bigger the tank, the easier it is.

I would definitely suggest, if you do go the Goldfish route, that you have at least two.

They are social fish and do enjoy the company of their own kind.
