First rescue, first loss

I took this guy home in hopes that I might have been able to save him from an agonizing death either in his cup, or in a vase. His damaged gill really plucked at my heart strings. He seemed to be doing alright, but then suddenly everything crashed. At least I did my best to make his last days more comfortable than they would have been. I knew his chances weren't great when I bought him, I'm just sad I couldn't help him more.

I just don't seem to have luck with our big finned friends. My CT and a PK are doing perfectly fine, but I've lost this HM and a DT within a few days of buying them. No clue what happened, but the DT could have been a fungal infection.

AW I'm so sorry for your loss. He was beautiful.
