Swim in Peace, Spud

This morning, my little Spudinski (Spud for short, and nicknamed French Fry), passed away from a horrible case of dropsy. I only realized last night that he had it, but it was too late at night to at least pick up some clove oil to euthanize him. Spud was purchased from a betta breeder at a reptile expo, and I only had him for about a month.

Swim is peace, my little Spud.

Sorry to hear about Spud. He looked quite beautiful. Sometimes bloat can be like that; he might have had internal issues for awhile that just didn't show up.

The more I think I know, the more I think I don't know much at all!

Thanks guys for the kind words. :)
I am feeling better about the whole thing now. I feel bad for wanting this, but I almost feel ready to rescue another fish. Does that seem bad?

No nota bad thing. But I would look extra hard at making sure he or she is in really good health. And make sure your current tank is cleared of anything and is in good cycle and order. Good luck and let us know who your new guy is ;)

SIP Spud, he was beautiful! Sorry you had him for only a short time :/ And if there are fish that need rescuing, you shouldn't feel bad about wanting to rescue them ^-^
