Anubis, Isis, Osiris, Horus
Hear now our sorrowful chorus
Another betta apporaches
To balance the scale of souls.
Though her scales be black as night
You'll find her heart is light--
Ammut shall not get his wish;
He shall not feast upon this fish.
Let Thoth's records show
The love that she has known
That still shines here so bright,
As she goes into the starry night.
A penny for her thoughts
And beauty that fades not.
Rosemary for her memory
And the green scales the gods now see.
A pebble from her home
As proof of love she was shown.
She will stand before Osiris, proud,
In her linen shroud--
While Nepthys weaves her arts
Cleo still holds our hearts.
Anubis, Isis, Osiris, Horus,
Hear now our woeful chorus:
Help the Bard--who sorrow wears--
Wipe away the Poet's tears.
While Cleo through the last gate goes
We travel to where the water flows:
There shall we build a pyre
And feed her to funeral fire.
There will her ashes light
Go swiftly into starry night.
