I cannot wait to see the picture! Don't worry about the color being pale. That is normal. My first one that I got in the mail has a black body & took 3 days to get to me. When I got him he was nearly colorless and displaying stress strips that I had never seen before on a male. Patrick lost a lot of color too and he was shipped overnight. He's a pic of Patrick when I got him & after he got used to things. You'll see the difference.

Is it one of those that make a waterfall when putting water back in the tank? Mine was a bit hard on my bettas, so I put a bit piece os sponge in there. You can see it in the corner of the last picture. Would work to keep Chum out of it as well.

it only makes a waterfall if the water level is low other than that it just very gently flows back into the tank. its the tetra whisper micro filter. Hes a wierdo, he wants to swim down into it, little curious george! I guess if he keeps doing it I will have to try the sponge trick
