Finn needs a new home.

I have had Finn since january and I love his little fishy butt but he had a tail biting habit I dont know what to do about and the poor guy his heater doesnt work right and I just lost my job so I can't buy him a new one. I would prefer not to ship him and he cant come with his tank but his gravel filter accessories etc I would be happy to send with him. He is lovely.

Sorry about your circumstances. Can you let us know what city/state you are in that way people close to you might be able to help with Finn.

If you are able to pay shipping, I have an extra heater you can borrow until you get back on your feet. I also could send you a couple IAL's which I've used on my own biter with a lot of success. PM me if you are interested.

ETA: It's a small adjustable heater for a 2.5 g -5 g tank. It was almost $40, but I don't have a tank that size that needs a heater now. I would just hope that once you get back on your feet and you send it back.

I am in southwestern ohio. Also I appreciate the heater offer I just feel maybe a more experienced home would be best for him.

Indian Almond Leaves. I found a combo of IAL and Stress Coat + really seems to help biters.

I get mine from Amy on ebay. If you search Indian Almond Leaves you'll find her. She has really reasonable prices. I paid $7.50 for my leaves, and she paid shipping (which was around $4.00), so in the end I only paid $3.50 all together for 25 leaves. I still have leaves from my April purchase (I use them in most of my tanks). They last a long time.
