Selling fish:

I regret to say that I will be selling my bettas. All have some form of nipping to their fins, as my males are fin nippers and my females were part of a sorority. After moving, I just cannot set up another tank knowing that I will be moving yet again very soon. I am short on money, so shipping to someone on the east coast would be preferable (specifically close to if not in Florida) so I do not need to purchase a heat pack. Please don't banter me about this...this is extremely hard on me as I love my fish...I have invested a lot of time and money into them, just to have to get rid of them. Please me patient with me. I will post pics later today once I get my phone back (left it at fiance's mother's). I currently have two males and three females. One female is sick, so I'm not sure how she'll fair in the mail.

I'm sorry to hear that Hadoken I don't think anyone would hound your for wanting to take care of your fishes and make sure they have a good home! I'm also selling off some of my fish too since I just can't take care of them as much as I used to, so I know how that feels and it is heartbreaking. I hope people on here and step up to give them great homes! I'd take one but still trying to get rid of my last one that i said I wasn't keeping :)

Good luck to you and your move!

Thank you, lilnaugrim. It means a lot to me. Thank you for your kind words and offer. I hope that someone does as well. My newest male will be the hardest to get rid of as he is so shy and sweet. My older male is an experienced breeder, though he's a bit of a doofus when it comes to building a nest. My copper red girl will be ready to breed whenever. She was showing stripes when next to my experienced breeder. My marble female cannot be in a sorority or be bred as she is overly aggressive. She did fine in a 9 girl sorority, but anything else made her more aggressive. Then there's my last RT female...I need to get picks up...still morning loosing half of my stock during the move. </3

Aww, I'm sorry to hear about this. I'd love to take one of them, but I'm also too short on money to even buy one. I hope they find some great homes, though! Keep us posted on how it goes; maybe when a little more money comes in I can afford to take one, if you have any left.

Well my little cousin has females in a 10 gal she has 6 but we could be more strict in water changes and keep some of your females if you still having some i wish i could take one of the males but I don't have space for other set up I'll see if can get someone who wants them and of course can give them proper care we're located in Houston so I guess we're kind of close let me know I'm sorry to hear that you have to get rid of your fish

I would not be able to send my females if they would be a close to overpopulating your tank. Thank you so much for the offer, though. The stress may be enough to kill them at that point...not even the water quality. Not sure if that makes sense..but if you hear anything on the males, let me know, please. I'll also be throwing in some plants most likely. Just got my phone back, so I'll be charging it.

Sorry that you have to give up your fish :( I know how attached we get to the little buggers and what a tough decision this must be for you.

I hope that you find good homes for all of them soon.

Animal testing is a terrible idea; they get all nervous and give the wrong answers.
