Renewed my betta care license,

Hi everyone! My name's Chelle and I decided that I should introduce myself since I recently joined. I love to research things ahead of time and before this I have spent some time in contact with a betta breeder here in California, which is where I'm from. I have huge difficulty in getting people to understand that I don't see my 2 Bettas as 'just fish.' As well as people think dogs and cats need to be treated and spoiled I see my fish equally if not greater in need of love than my finless pets.

I keep two betta fish and both are males. Once is a black half moon double tail plakat and the other is a ... different reddish blue-ish purple-ish half moon with what seemed like a very short caudal fin at first but now it is growing! Well I've kept bettas in the past but that was when I was ignorant to keeping them and there were only veil tails and a few crown tails around and they all were red or blue.

Well I thought I would introduce myself. Great to be in a place where other people are as interested in their fighters as I am.

I like my Bettas because, as opposed to other fish that seem to just be swimming around aimlessly, when I go to look at my Betta, he comes out to look at me!

So aware of his surroundings!
