Newbie from Ohio

Hello everyone, I'm Ricky. I'm from Olmsted Falls, OH - just west of Cleveland. I've been looking for a new hobby and decided to get a Betta to take care of. Picked a red halfmoon male that was the best looking on the shelf and decided on an Aqueon Evolve2 tank to start with. I went ahead and purchased Aqueon mini 10w heater and am currently looking into slowing the down the flow rate on the filter pump. Just got the Betta acclimated with his new environment and he seems to be very happy (besides getting caught in the current created by the pump -which is currently turned off). I'm looking forward to learning more about these fish and growing my knowledge in keeping them.

Cheers!

Hello and welcome. :) Enjoy your Betta! I look forward to you being extra knowledgeable.

Over hundreds of bettas die in their small, dirty cups each day. Only you can help them live. Research and then save them, today!

Hi there and welcome to the forum, Betta are amazing fish I know your going to be so happy you got one. You can baffle the filter with AQ sponge and if you need anymore ideas for that just ask cause many people here have also baffled theirs.

Hello and welcome to the forum

Animal testing is a terrible idea; they get all nervous and give the wrong answers.
