If you get a ten gallon or bigger you can build a community tank. Pygmy cories or WCMM in a ten gallon.

Hello and welcome to the forum

Your boys are handsome & I love the Bubble story :)

Animal testing is a terrible idea; they get all nervous and give the wrong answers.

Thank you all for the welcome.

I have a 40g community tank but Blue & Red Tetras + Bettas I think could be a bad combo. Blue & Reds can be semi aggressive and already have their pecking order worked out. Plus my zebrafish are another consideration. They are darters and could be stressful to Bettas as well. In the future I may try it when I have room for another large tank. A custom build stand for a 30g with six spots on the sides for individual male tanks could be a beautiful set up though. One sump to run them all for super clean water.

My Subwassertang came in today. Now I get to spend a couple hours wrapping rocks so my boys have a nice green ground cover. I ordered three portions on aquabid and I got a a 2.5 gallon size aquarium worth. My 40g will be getting some new foreground cover too. Thank goodness I got a spare 5g to put the extra in. I wonder if I should wrap my biofilter sponge in it? Any thoughts

Round Pellia (Süsswassertang) It's closest to Lomariopsis lineata. It doesn't have a species name yet. Also called freshwater seaweed. It attaches like moss. It's a great plant if you plan to have shrimp. I will let it grow in so I can add Amano shrimp to my tanks. Gives them great hiding spots.

Sorry for all my edits but I always forget something ><

Low maintenance, low light, no co2 necessary, and does well in any water type. I fell your pain I have hardwater as well. It's hard to find at a LFS but if you use aquabid.com you can find portions up for bid most of the time. I got mine from Strask. He give huge portions. I am sure he will have more up for sale soon.
