Question New-ish betta keeper

Hi! I recently got a male betta name Ice King. I have a few questions about him. My TetraBetta pellets seem to be too big for his mouth. He grabs them with his mouth and drops them, as if he can't swallow them, but for some reason he eats dried bloodworms whenever i give them to him, and they are even bigger. Should I give him something else instead of the pellets?

Try taking a spoonful of tank water and placing the pellet in that for a few minutes. Or taking two spoons and squishing the pellet between them so it is flatter. Some pellets are awefully big for their lil mouths. I just got my betta, and the pellets i got for him are way to big. So have to do both of these things when i feed him.

Welcome to the forum!

+1 to what Sokkasmom said about the pellets

Is that what they were feeding him?? Bettas can be picky eaters, I'd find out what they fed him.

Hello and welcome to the forum. You can also try crushing the pellets up if they're too big.
