Relatively new fish keeper
Hello everyone! Back in August I got my first fish, Pancakes the betta. At first, I did what so many others unfortunately do, and bought him without very much research into proper betta care. I had been assured they could live just fine in a small bowl.
So, for the first few days I did keep him in a bowl, but I became very interested in bettas and started doing research. The more I learned the more I started feeling guilty about having him in such a small bowl, so I went out and got a ten gallon tank for him with a heater and a filter. I do 25% water changes every week. I feed him pellets, flakes, and the occasional bloodworm. I'm happy to say he's been doing great and seems very happy.
As I continued to look for more information on taking care of my betta, I found this forum. For awhile I just browsed the forums for interesting threads, but I decided to join a little while back. I'm glad to be here and have a place to discuss bettas with people who are just as fascinated by them. So that's my story.
