New Betta Daddy

Hello everyone,

Forum Name: NghtShad
RL Name: Dennis
Age: 32

Ever owned aquatic pets before: No
Ever owned any pets: Yes (cats, dogs, hampsters)

I have been interested in Betta's for some time and finally decided I had the room in my office for a couple. I am still deciding on names but I think I might be settling on Chan (blue) and Lee (red). They are both from PetSmart in Edmonton, AB Canada and in seperate 1.5 Gallon filtered/heated tanks.

I am an IT Analyst for a local school board and also run my own computer support business in the evenings and weekends which keeps my day life a bit more busy then regular. This is only to compensate for the fact I have no kids and neither my wife or myself are set on having one any time soon.

My hobbies include Geocaching watching movies and now Betta care. Hope to get to know everyone on the boards in the near future and meet all your fish.

I do a 20% water change every couple days when I clean the gravel with the siphon I have.

Hmm.... You may want to think about upping that to a 30-50% WC. Kudos for using a gravel vac though, Your the first new owner I've seen who actually uses one

Welcome to the forum. I'm a local breeder, it's really good to see another member from my city. :)

Good to hear there is someone near by that is into breeding. Since this setup is in my office at work I do not have the room for breeding but am interested in it for some time down the road. I am getting a head of myself since I have only had my 2 for 6 days so far.
