Another Betta Newie

Greetings,

From the quick reading I've done this is an excellent forum. Haven't had a fish tank in over 10 years. Use to have Cichlids and they did well, but decided to start with a small tank and try a Betta. Got a 5.5 gal set from Petsmart, but I still need to get a heater, gravel, decorations and of course get it cycled. Then off to find a male Betta.

1 questions - has any used Marimo Moss Balls in a Betta tank? Are they OK ?

I live in Southern Florida and my other hobby is 3D digital art - mostly dragons

Dragons have feelings too! Dragon art is at Dragon Mischief and Miscellaneous Digital Art is at Artsy Dreamer Website

Yes, the Marimo moss balls help keep the water clean.

Thank you for your welcome. I look forward to learning more about bettas and others experience since it is my first time to be a fish owner. Happy Holidays to all!
