Thank you. And you can't say things like that and not show a picture!

Congrats on your new betta boy! I love his colors. If I may make a suggestion, one of your pics show that your sponge filter is blowing pretty hard. Bettas prefer calm surface water to be able to catch a breath of air. Look into a gang valve for aquarium pumps. Shouldn't be more than a few bucks. Good luck with him!

Oh, it looks like that in the photo but in reality it's actually very still on the surface :)

in fact, Sven will often go right up to the tip of the filter (where it pours out into the water) and take a breath there. I was very afraid at first that he would jump into the filter, but he doesn't seem to struggle against it or anything and will actually swim back and forth underneath where the plastic tubing part is taking in water o_0

He... seems to enjoy it... which is... odd to me. But hey, if he's happy then I'm happy. I love my little betta boy ^_^ he makes my heart go thumpy thump.

How are yours doing? :)

Ahhh I guess I was completely wrong, I thought it was a sponge filter if he's happy then we're all happy :) my fish buddies are doing great, my boy I just got from Thailand has fully recovered from hat ever was bothering him when he came in, he's happily swimming all around. Still dealing with some rips in my boys fins from the stupid divider I have in. It has rough edges. I'm gonna go look for some foam that would let water flow through and use that. If not.... Time to set up my 4th tank.... F it.

Could you sand down the edges? or would that wreck the plastic? I'm sorry your beautiful fish has fin tear mine is starting to rub up against everything in his tank, I hope that doesn't mean he's itchy o_o that's not a good sign. I'm keeping a close eye on that. Did you try medicine for his tear to try to heal it? vitamins?

Oooh, he's adorable. I love the jug!

305betta - You could use a nail file to sound down the edge of your divider. I did that to the viking helmet ornament in Shadow's tank.

Also, I think Shadow's slowly changing in colour. When I googled his colour type I say they're a royal blue colour so I'm hoping he'll end up that colour. My dad would LOVE that.
