Hello Betta Fish folks!

I was hoping to get some direction from those who have experience with the Betta fish. I have plenty experience with Cichlids and really enjoy keeping them but boy did I get an eye opener the other day after walking into ( a local pet store) to pick up Cichlid food. I turned the corner and there it was. The betta that has thrown me into a new hobby. The guy working there had initially put it up so that he could take it home. I was so enthused and interested in that fish that he told me to take it. :smile2:. Now my problem is, I pick the fish up tomorrow and I have no idea what tank to get for it? I like the idea of the "Betta Falls" but then I have read where the fish like still water and should be kept in a bigger tank. I know I want more than one Betta however and really don't want to set up tanks all over the house.

I will appreciate any and all advice.
Thanks in advance,
Chuck.

Thank You for the reply. I have seen where folks have divided tanks but not really sure how to do it. I have been doing some reading and research on keeping the Betta since it is all new to me and one of things I did read over and over was making sure they have plenty of space and that there was a misconception about them living comfortably in small spaces. Seems like every review I read on the tanks I have been looking at has either to much water flow from the filtration or the filtration just sucks altogether. I will definately stay away from the "Betta Falls".
This whole new idea of keeping the Bettas makes my 55 gal. Cichlid set up seem easy.

The betta falls tank is awful, it should be taken off the shelves. Its basically a torture chamber. It has killed many fish. I recommend the Aqueon bettabow 2.5 gallon (as long as you get a prefilter, the filter is a bit strong) or something larger in bulk. It comes with a divider but I wouldn't recommend using it, it has bad reviews.

Thank you very much for the advice and feedback. I ended up getting a Marineland portrait 5 gal.
I will just have to get another one once I can figure out how and where to get the other Betta I want. Not sure where to go to actually order specific Bettas.

Have a good day.
Chuck.

You can look at the spawn logs to see who is breeding what and where they're located. I highly recommend checking some out because it's amazing seeing them develop. Some members post fish they have up for adoption and sale in the marketplace. Currently @kitkat67 is selling her fry and has them posted in the marketplace. Not everyone posts them though, so if there's a recent spawn log you like it may be worth contacting them to see if they have any left. Just be sure to check the date of the thread and make sure it's not old.
