That should look nice. I go for the more natural look nowadays. Most of my tanks have driftwood and silk plants (live in a few of them). Only a few of my smaller tanks have the resin decorations anymore. I originally wanted a pirate ship theme and an asian inspired one (similar to yours) but I could never afford the ornaments LOL!

Hi BettaMommy :) And welcome!

Well, I came over to help as per request (prior to a response), but it looks like you have been given some very great info by 1fish.. there is nothing else needing to be added or changed, she has you covered.

The only thing I will give is my opinion- yes the bookshelf aquarium is pretty, and it's spiffy being shallow and long- great for a betta- but at mentioned, for the price of it you could easily get a 10 gallon. BUT it is up to you and where you are putting it, etc. If I had lots of extra money to spend on more tanks, I would go for it just because it looks nice.

Breeder so I have too many to count and too many named to list here!

Hi BettaMommy, I don't know the name of the plant, I just saw it at Walmart, liked it and bought it, LOL! Its plastic. I think it cost about 3 bucks.

Thank you indjo! I would luve to see pics. of everyone's tanks, if possible! I will post some pics of mine soon I hope, but only if you guys want to see... When you see the pics of Shimmer's tank, I know what you will say. It is a small vase, but it's temporary. I want to start a sorority and I'm saving up (it all adds up so quick), so I am waiting until the sorority is established to buy anything. I really like the bookshelf aquarium, but it is kind of expensive when I could get an even bigger 10 gallon for 12 bucks at WalMart. I'm thinking about doing a beach babe theme for Shimmer! What do you think?
