I'm new to posting on the Forum but I've been using it for a while now. I found it when I decided to get myself a Betta fish to try and help easy moving across the country. I had one as a child and loved it so I thought it would be a great pet to get a again since I no longer live with three fish nomming cats.

I have a blue/green/red Male Crowntail and a peach/red/light blue male veiltail whom I saved from a petco in Las Vegas. I hope that I get to keep both fish for a long time and watch them thrive. I plan on moving them both from small tanks into their own 5 gallon tanks once I find some that I like.

Hello and welcome to the forum

I'd love to have 5 gallon tanks for all of my boys but since I've taken up every inch of space in the house with 2.5 gallon tanks, I've only got one in a 5 gallon. Sigh.......

Animal testing is a terrible idea; they get all nervous and give the wrong answers.

I would love to keep more then just the two I have, Betta's are just beautiful and it's so nice to come home and just watch them swim about. Although my boyfriend doesn't seem to agree. To bad for him.

I was going to wait until we built shelving in out room to get 5 gallon tanks but the crowntail seems to have a fungal infection and I want to get a tank cycled and for him so he can be in a more stable environment, I've been treating him with AS and an api treatment I'm pretty sure I got him with it and it's just not manifesting.

I'm hoping I can get it under control before it gets out of hand.
