Talking Hello All!

I'm TakoLuLu. I live in Georgia with my lovely husband and two kitties.

I've kept bettas on and off since high-school, first in a 2.5gal hex (that once, when I was 6, housed my first failures at fishkeeping), and now in a 10gal standard rectangle. Its not a fancy setup, cobbled together from fleamarket finds, ebay steals, and Walmart parts, but it has given 2 bettas very happy little lives.

After a major tank disaster (lost a betta and a small school of otos overnight, never could pinpoint what happened :< ) fell very close to a complicated move, I packed my tank up for close to a year. Now that I'm settled again I'm starting over with a clean slate. I'm planning on a male betta, a handful of tetras, and maybe some shrimp. I'm excited by the prospects & after over a year of lurking about, I've finally registered!

Hello and welcome to the forum We're glad you decided to join in.

Good luck picking out your new fishy friend and his tank mates. There's nothing better than having an empty tank to set up and stock IMO.

Animal testing is a terrible idea; they get all nervous and give the wrong answers.

It is a pretty nice feeling! Second only, possibly, to that lovely feeling I get when I'm finished stocking and everyone seems to be working out wonderfully in their new little hiome!

Thanks for the welcome :3

Thank you! I very much enjoy photography and have a very nice camera now, so hopefully I'll be able to get some very nice pictures :3

"The time has come," the Walrus said, "to talk of many things: of shoes—and ships—and sealing wax—of cabbages—and kings—and why the sea is boiling hot—and whether pigs have wings."

"But wait a bit," the Oysters cried, "before we have our chat; for some of us are out of breath, and all of us are fat!"
"No hurry!" said the Carpenter.
They thanked him much for that.
