Hello from Canada!

Hey there!

Thought I'd drop in and say a quick hello! I'm from Alberta, Canada and have two bettas and a couple a swordtail guppies. I'm a huge betta fanatic, and would love to get more! Unfortunately I'm at my limit right now (limit not set by me haha) so I have to make due with my two beauts. One is a a red/white metallic halfmoon named Kaida (even though I think that's a female name), and my other is my blue/green/purple etc..lol brand new feather tail/rose tail (not sure which) who is currently nameless!

Can't wait to meet everyone!

Nice meeting another Canadian! I was born and raised in Alberta, but now I proudly reside on Vancouver Island!

It's really the eyes that get me. They aren't like goldfish or guppies, these guys can speak to you if you are willing to watch them and listen.

Love the name. Your bettas sound beautiful. It happens with the fish, seems you keep seeing one prettier than the last, at least that is the way I am. Haven't seen an ugly one yet. And if I did, I'd want that one as well .

Yay Canadians!

Can't wait to see pictures of your 2 boys. Bettas are so addictive! I wish we had more selection in Canada.

Thanks! Pictures are up in the picture section of the forum!!
ETA: Where I am, the selection is actually alright...maybe I'm lucky! We have a local store that is amazing! And the other is not too bad either. But I agree...more selection would be nice. I'm dying to get some of those Aquabid bettas one day.

Nice to meet so many fellow Canadian betta enthusiasts!! These bettas truly are addictive....I always want "just one more". Just one more can't hurt, right?! I'm capped with my two tanks though for now. It's hard enough living in the country to cart water from the city to home for these two small tanks, let alone a couple larger ones. So the two small ones will have to do :/ . Why can't these boys just play nice and live together in harmony? Then we could all have more! Hahah.
