Molly

If I temporarily have 2 gold dust mollies in a 5.5 gallon tank. What would the water changes look like?

Some people determine what percentage of the water they will change every time they change it - others, like myself, just change out an arbitrary amount every time. I change out 80%. In such a tiny tank, I would not change less than 50%. That all being said, a 10 gallon is not sufficient for mollies.

Considering that they can grow to 4-6 inches, I would say a 29. If you were not going to get any more, and they aren't going to make more, you could probably squeeze them into a 20. But they are group oriented fish, so I think you should keep more than 2 in at least a 29 gallon tank.
