Apple Snail mating

So I found an egg sack today. What can I do with it? I do not want a bunch of baby snails, unless I can sell them. Inside the tank are 3 tetras, a dwarf gourami, and an african dwarf frog. Can I just slide the eggs into the water and the other fish will eat them? or can I collect them and put them in my betta's tank? Or would I be able to sell them?

If you can sell them depends on what color the parents are. White, blue, and purple get the highest prices, golds are more common but still in demand but black and brown ones most folks don't go for.

You can actually go on ebay or aquabid and sell the whole egg cluster, get a couple of bucks and not have to deal with it. I saw an egg cluster from purple parents go for $17 plus shipping once! But generally about $5 plus shipping.

I don't think it is illegal to ship them. Maybe if they were an invasive species, but this would be classified as for aquarium use.

Personally, I never tell people something is illegal without a link to the law.
According to the USDA invasive species list, releasing adult snails into the wild might get you in some trouble. But sending some through the mail is fine - as is farming them for the aquatic trade or escargo. Unless you have the species Pomacea canaliculata, which is generally only used for escargo:

those have some regulations on them.

But I haven't found anything for Pomacea Bridgesii.
