What stressed out my cory?

Yesterday I put in a 50w adjustable heater in one of my 10 gal tanks. There are 4 cories in there, and I've noticed that one of them is definitely not right. I had to do a lot of adjusting with the heater to get it in the right place, but from what my two thermometers say, the temp has not gone below 76 or above 82. I did a 50% water change today, and tested the water before. Everything was normal. The other fish are fine, but the one cory is on a plant that is stationary at the top of the tank. He sits with the front part of his body up. What did I do?

It might just be you moving the heater around that has caused it stress.

Perhaps wait a day and see if it is still behaving like that.

10g Fry / Hospital / QT tank (as needed)

75g Saltwater Reef, Ocellaris Clownfish, Lyretail Antias (baby), Lemon damsel, Longtail Fairy Wrasse, purple dottyback, snails, crabs and a few LPS corals.

220g Still sitting empty (come on Lottery I need the numbers to come up!)

I agree with Tazman. Give it a day and see if it settles in. It might not have anything to do with what you did.

Thanks! It seemed a lot better today. It was actually searching for food, but it still sits in one spot some times. I've never had a fish stress out like that before!

Each fish is different and some take a few weeks sometimes to be happy,

It is a good sign though he is looking for food.
