Shrimps! And some Bettas...

Just wanted to share a video I took tonight on my phone :) I was given 6 shrimp by a friend back in November but only had one tank suitable for them, my 15g female Betta tank. I was hoping the girls wouldn't kill them. I haven't seen the shrimp since December so I figured they were long gone. Tonight, at feeding time I noticed something on the plant.. a nice healthy looking yellow shrimp! When I got these guys, they were half the size and clear... was a surprise to see not only one, but two shrimp munching away on the plants. I have no idea what they are... just hybrids!

In the video you'll see Suki/Teeko (not sure which, thought it was Suki but she's lavender with no red) and then Hana the fatty Cambodian. Last is Yuuna, our celophane that turned marble. Tatsu the blue dragon is there too, she's upset because her sister Kaida is in treatment for torn fins. She's laying on the floor of the tank.

So yeah, wanted to share my shrimps and camera hogs :)

Shrimp!

Haha! Kinda looks like what I was told was a RCS. I've also seen yellow shrimp that are very similar, at least to the first one in the vid

The owner said they are dwarf shrimp, they had a few types including cherry shrimp and they all bred and made some weird hybrids. So they are certainly from cherry shrimp lines lol I can't find any that have the same pattern on Google, although I am not up and up when it comes to shrimp. I gave them some Swordtails and Celestial Pearl Danios so I accepted some shrimp and two Apple Snails which live in the 15g :)

I really hope to get some more from them sometime! I am surprised they survived, although my female tank is really densely planted with lots of hiding spots. I guess I need to be more careful now with cleaning the gravel lol
