fatty neons!

Everytime I feed my neons some get very rounded and lumpy. Is this ok? I'm sure I'm not over feeding. I feed them 3-4 flakes crushed for their little mouths. One tetra is very greedy and is like something possessed when I feed them and she gets very lumpy indeed. It does go down after an hour or so but I'm worried they will burst!

It's probably not a serious health issue, although neons are very small and really don't need a lot of food to live. The type of flake you are feeding them may also effect things, some flake has more fiber than others

Thats normal. There are dominants in the group, and those eat more than the others.

I think she is female yes, she is always slightly more rounded. Come to think of it the 4 that do get lumpy are, I think females while the other 3 are slimmer.
