Question Plants For Beginners

Hi Everyone,

I have a 2 gallon tank and I am getting my first Betta. I will have a filter and a small heater, but I really want to put in some live plants for him.

What are some low maintence plants that are good for Betta fish? It is also not bad if they are inexpensive as well, haha.

Thanks in advance!

Well I recommend just the Betta fish and idk but I think the plants are ok just have to keep up with water changes to reintergrate some minerals that the plant uses.. The snail has a lot of bioload so the water quality will be way to deteriorated for so many animals for a plant you want either an small Anubis latched on some of your deco or a java fern or moss.... You can also put in a moss ball which I hear Betta loves to cuddle and play around with it (also hear they move on their own so it's like having a snail with no bioload) how ever the moss balls can be a little pricy for what it is... The cheapest I saw was 5 bucks at a mom and pop fish store but at petco and Petsmart it's like 7-8 bucks... Hope this helped
