Question Do Marimo balls need to be quarntined

I just picked one up at a fish store, i currently have it in a jar with some treated water ,can you get snails from these,or is safe to just put right in the tank .

i have heard of some people getting snails. you can QT it in untreated tap water for a week. you want it untreated so that the chlorine in the water kills anything that can harm your tank on the marimo ball

You can also quarantine it in club soda/carbonated water, they love that.
